NCRPO Deploys First Batch of Field Training Officers
NCRPO Chief, Regional Director, PDIR ALAN LA MADRID PURISIMA, led Wednesday afternoon the Graduation Ceremony of the 1st Batch of NCRPO Field Training Officers and the Badge of Honor Ceremony of 801 new police recruits held at Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.
The one hundred seventy three (173) police graduates from Northern Police District (NPD),Eastern Police District (EPD), Manila Police District (MPD),Southern Police District (SPD),Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and the Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB) have undergone an intensive 18-day Field Training Officers Development Program (FTODP) conducted by the PNP Training Service (PNPTS) in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
The Field Training Officers Development Program (FTODP) was first ever conducted by the NCRPO, originally a four-day training which covers Patrol, Traffic and Investigation. The program was revised and expanded by the NCRPO to a 18 - day program in response with the new concept of the field training exercise (FTX), removing the investigation phase and putting more emphasis on Patrol, Traffic and First Responder.
PDir Purisima said that it is part of NCRPO’s initiatives in instituting reforms using as guidepost the C, PNP’s ten-point action plan. NCRPO is now ready to test pilot the new products of the revised program. The graduates of the field training program are tasked to undertake the performance of police trainees during their field training in the different police districts in Metro Manila.
In his address during the opening of the training, PDir Purisima said, “Relevant police work is about public safety and security. As we faithfully enforce the law and fight crime, we must zealously take part in helping our communities”.
