METRO COPS WIN H.O.P.E. AWARDS AS NCRPO CELEBRATES THE 21ST PNP FOUNDATION DAY

The National Capital Region Police Office under the stewardship of PDIR ALAN LA MADRID PURISIMA, joins the Junior Chambers International – Manila (Manila Jaycees) and Basilio Foundation in giving  the Honorable Outstanding Police Enforcer (H.O.P.E.) Awards to the five (5) winners. The 2011 H.O.P.E awards were conferred during NCRPO’s celebration of the 21st PNP Foundation Day held at the NCRPO Grandstand in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City Monday morning, February 6, 2012.

The Manila Jaycees and Basilio Foundation partnered with NCRPO with the goal of uplifting the morale of the NCRPO’s uniformed and non-uniformed personnel by giving the HOPE awards to the finest personnel in recognition of their accomplishments and selfless service to the people of Metro Manila.

The 2011 H.O.P.E.  awardees were:

1. PSSUPT GABRIEL C LOPEZ – Commissioned Officer - Administration

2. PSINSP EDUARDO J GILLERA – Commissioned Officer - Operation

3. SPO3 Raymond F Mendoza – Non-Commissioned Officer - Administration

4. SPO1 Rey H Sarcon – Non-Commissioned Officer - Operation

5. Ms. Rosalie D Sta. Maria – Non-Uniformed Personnel - Administration

“Congratulations to our HOPE awardees. May you continue to be beacon of excellence, shining brightly in our midst that serves as models to our fellow police officers,” Purisima said.

In his message, Purisima said that the celebration of the PNP foundation day will focus not just in the achievements of the PNP over the years but also in remembering the goods deeds showed by its personnel in protecting the public.

He added that this event will just continue to inspire the PNP in giving the highest quality of service to the country as it sets new goals in the coming years.

Congressman Juan C Ponce Enrile, Jr. of the 1st District of Cagayan Province was the celebration’s Guest of Honor and Speaker. Enrile encouraged the NCRPO cops to go out of the traditional box of policing and serve as catalysts for community order and development. He also committed his support to the NCRPO for the needed upgrading of equipment and personnel skills.

“The observance of this event serves to remind everybody of the initiatives and aspirations of the PNP for the country over the years.  I hope that this will be another start of great and blessed year for our beloved PNP,” Purisima said.
