NCRPO chief POLICE DIRECTOR ALAN LA MADRID PURISIMA is set to receive Saturday morning (9:00AM of February 18, 2012) the coveted Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association, Inc. (PMAAA, Inc.) Cavalier Award during the Philippine Military Academy’s annual alumni homecoming in Fort Del Pilar, Baguio City. Purisima is expected to receive the award from Defense Secretary Voltaire T. Gazmin, the Guest of Honor and Speaker in this year’s homecoming.

The PMAAAI Cavalier Award is the highest award conferred to PMA alumni who have accomplished outstanding achievements in military and police operations.

Purisima is one of the awardees this year for his outstanding performances and services in the Command and Administration category.

Purisima, a member of PMA “Dimalupig” Class of 1981, has distinguished himself as the Police Regional Director of Central Luzon and Chief of the Police Anti-Crime Emergency Response (PACER), the anti-kidnapping unit of the Philippine National Police.

PMAAAI Chairman Remy T. Tigulo said the PMAAAI Board of Directors approved the awards committee’s recommendation to confer Purisima the Cavalier Award for his outstanding performance as a police professional in the field of police command and administration.

He further stated that the award also reflects the awardee’s dedication, idealism and adherence to the PMAAAI’s aims and purposes and to the PMA’s motto of courage, integrity and loyalty.

Purisima bested several other candidates to emerge as this year’s awardee.

Other awardees include: Cesar P.
