MPD Arrests Police-Robbers

Acting on the complaints of the victims, Manila Police District (MPD) Deputy District Director PSSUPT ROBERT PO ordered the immediate arrest of two (2) manila policemen and a barangay official involved in the robbery incident last May 31, 2012. The victims reported the incident to PSSUPT PO who provided swift police action to arrest the rough cops and the barangay official.

Arrested by the Criminal Investigation Branch police operatives were PO1 ROBERT CRUZ of Sta. Ana Police Station (PS-6)) and Barangay Ex-Officio Officer REGENTE BALIN OSALLA after being positively identified by the victims - Marc Bagui, Shental Bagui and Patricia Velzy. Recovered from OSALLA was a pouch bag containing personal items owned by Velzy. The suspects forcibly barged into the home of the victims and declared the robbery.

During the follow-up operation, PO1 CRUZ was seen by the victims inside the police station while OSALLA was arrested while OSALLA was arrested while manning traffic along Pasig-Line street in Sta. Ana, Manila. Another suspect, PO3 MORRIS GUILLERMO MALINDOG was positively identified through the photo in his PNP Personal Data Sheet shown by PSSUPT. PO to the victims. PO3 MALINDOG is on absent-without-official-leave (AWOL) status. PO3 MALINDOG is now a subject of a manhunt to make him answer for his misdeeds.

 

“The MPD leadership does not condone the illicit acts within our ranks. We will arrest anyone that has violated the law,” Po said. “It is unfortunate these unguided Manila cops are getting involved in crimes, we will not tolerate this,” he added.

Cases of Robbery in Band and Violation of RA 7610 were filed against the suspects before the Manila Prosecutors Office.

The incident was featured in one of the TV news programs but failed to state/report the police action and response that led to the immediate arrest of the suspects.
