Metro Cops Arrest Drug Suspects

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief PCSUPT LEONARDO A ESPINA acknowledged the results of the police operations with the arrest of drug violators and the recovery of illegal drugs by metro cops in different districts and police stations last Tuesday, September 18, 2012.

PCSupt Benito Estipona of the Southern Police District (SPD) ordered the conduct of buy-bust operation by the District Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group (DAID-SOTG) which resulted to the arrest of Baiking Lucas, Luisito Cadacio, Abdul Yasser Khusim and Adam Tocalo of  Maharlika Village in Taguig City for violations of Republic Act 9165 known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act.  Also, Micheal Arcala was arrested inside the compound of #80 Eucalyptus St., Western Bicutan; and Joanne Santosand Ritchie Ortega were arrested at F. Manalo St.,Calzada Tipas, Taguig City for the same violations.

Another buy-bust operation of District Anti-Illegal Drug Operatives of Quezon City Police Districts resulted in the arrest of Alvin Velasco, Jesmon Frederick Ocaya, and Maria Gladys Clemente.

In Manila, police operatives of MPD Police Station-2 under PSupt Ernesto Tendero Jr., arrested Pote Jaban and Fahay Guro for violation of RA 9165 along Mayhaligue St. in Tondo, Manila. Policemen recovered from the suspects a plastic containing white crystal substance suspected to be shabu.

In the area of Eastern Police District (EPD), the elements of PCP-1 of Marikina City Police Station arrested Charles Reidy Dela Cruz for violation of RA 9165 in Kalumpang, Marikina City and recovered from the suspected dried marijuana leaves.

Espina congratulated the policemen who diligently perform their tasks and responsibilities in sweeping drug users and suppliers. “Maraming buhay ang naililigtas sa bawat isang tulak ng droga na ating nahuhuli. Alisin natin sa mga komunidad ang mga kriminal at mga salot ng lipunan na katulad nila,” Espina said.

Espina also challenged his cops to continue performing their duties efficiently and diligently and be the NCRPO’s pride. “Magtulong-tulong tayo.” Ipagpapatuloy natin ang tamang serbisyo ng pulisya,” he added.
